The Avengers will have come competition on their hands.
The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Warner Bros. has confirmed they plan to bring ‘Justice League’ to theaters everywhere with ‘Man of Steel’s Zack Snyder in the director’s chair.
“It will be a further expansion of this universe,” said Warner Bros president of worldwide production Greg Silverman. “’Superman vs Batman’ will lead into ‘Justice League.’”
The Hollywood Reporter is also reporting that the movie will film back to back with ‘Superman Vs. Batman’ and will be released in 2017.
Henry Cavill will return as Clark Kent aka Superman with Ben Affleck taking on the role as billionaire Bruce Wayne aka Batman. ‘Fast and Furious’ Actress Gal Gadot will play Wonder Woman.
Other Justice League members include Aquaman, Green Lantern and the Flash but no word on who will play those roles if they are included in the film.
‘Superman vs. Batman’ will hit theaters on May 6, 2016 and will go head to head with Marvel’s ‘Captain America 3’.
The ‘Justice League’ script is currently being written.
