The playoffs are here and it’s time to claim home court advantage at any cost. Luckily enough for the Memphis Grizzlies, they find themselves in a great situation. Due to some seeding scenarios by the NBA, the Grizzlies, despite being the 5 seed in the Eastern Conference, will have home court advantage in the first round of the playoffs against the fourth seeded Portland Trail Blazers.
It appears Zach Randolph will be taking advantage of this, and he’ll be helping out his local Memphis fans.
Following from a Grizzlies official press release.
Memphis Grizzlies forward Zach Randolph has added to the excitement of the Grizzlies’ playoff home opener by purchasing 300 tickets that will be given away to Grizzlies fans in the FedExForum Grand Lobby immediately following the team’s practice on Saturday, April 18 at approximately 2 p.m.
Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, and there will be a limit of two tickets per person.
You got to do whatever you can to get that extra crowd noise for the playoffs. It’s a necessity, especially in a series like this against the Blazers who, much like the Grizz, have a ton to prove.
Although both teams will be very, very hurt, there’s nothing like a great crowd to pump up the players to elevate their game.
So, if you’re in the Memphis area, go get your tickets!
