On Sunday, LaVine had an MRI that revealed the injury. After, he went to Chicago where he had more exams to determine the severity of the injury. Recently, LaVine went out to deny the rumors of him getting injured because of the intense training sessions and big playing minutes.
“No, just rolled my ankle. I put a lot of work into the offseason. I think I’m one of the most conditioned dudes in the NBA, so I haven’t felt too overloaded.”
In addition to LaVine’s injury, the team just announced the injury of Bobby Portis. Portis injured his right ankle in the loss 93-96 against the Brooklyn Nets. After the game Portis had an MRI and other exams to determine the injury. Portis will join LaVine in the list of injuries and both will be out from two to four weeks.

Both players have battled injuries in their respective time with the Bulls. LaVine has dealt with a few ailments since his return from a torn ACL and Bobby Portis seems to find himself on the injured reserve more than the would like, as long as he’s not sidelined after punching a teammate in the face.
