Florida prosecutors seek the death penalty against rapper YNW Melly on first-degree murder charges.
YNW Melly faces two counts of first-degree murder in the shooting death of Anthony Williams and Christopher Thomas Jr. Law enforcement claims YNW Melly and associate Cortlen Henry shot both victims multiple times and staged a drive-by. All four claimed membership to the YNW crew.
TMZ reports, documents state the prosecution believes “it can prove beyond a reasonable doubt the premeditated murder took place for financial gain. YNW Melly’s arrest in February added steam to then now cryptic viral song Murder On My Mind.
