2018 has been an incredible run YBN Cordae. Emerging from the YBN camp, Cordae jumped on to the scene early in the year with a response to J. Cole’s “1985”. From there, the young lyricist dropped a string of records like “Scottie Pippen”, “Kung Fu” and “Target”. Along the way, Cordae performed alongside his YBN crew and delivered a memorable freestyle on the L.A. Leakers. To recap his entire year, the up and coming MC dropped a new track called “What’s Life?”
On the new track, the Maryland native reflects on the year he and his team had in 2018. Cordae raps, “What is life without love? What’s life without dreams? What’s life without goals?” Along with the record, Cordae also dropped a new video as well for the song. When releasing the video on Instagram, Cordae wrote a caption that reads, “As I reflect on the past year, I wrote this and was reminded what’s really important.” It’s certainly been a breakthrough year for the rising artist. 2019 will only hold more success and possibly a full length project from the rapper.
