XXXTentacion faces several serious charges stemming from an October 2016 incident, and the rapper went to social media to clear his name.
The 19-year-old Florida native is charged with aggravated battery of a pregnant woman, domestic battery by strangulation, false imprisonment, and witness-tampering for allegedly beating his ex-girlfriend at the time. Before his next court appearance on Oct. 5, XXXTentacion went to his Instagram and Snapchat accounts to address his legal situation.
Before the posts were made, an investigation into the incidents and XXXtentacion was published, including excerpts from the woman’s 142-page testimony about the physical and verbal abuse she suffered at the hands of the rapper. It is another addition to a lengthy record of abuse allegations against XXXTentacion.

The charges and upcoming trial have not had an impact on his sales. XXXTentacion’s debut album, 17, appeared at no. 2 on the Billboard 200, with more than 87,000 units sold. As of Sept. 12, it sits at no. 3.
