The Cleveland Cavaliers are off to a start that most people probably would have never predicted. With a record of 5-7, The NBA’s newest “super team” is coming off back-to-back double-digit losses to the Raptors and Wizards.
WIth the poor start, Cavs GM David Griffin recently stated that “No one is untouchable.”
“No one is untouchable, and you’re never done building a team, so we’re always paying attention to what opportunities are out there. My tendency is always trying to do what we can do to improve the roster. But I’m not looking to create one so much as paying attention to what I’m hearing,” Griffin said.
So with that in mind, does anyone dare to ask, “Would The Cavs trade Lebron for the right deal?” What about Kevin Love or Kyrie Irving?
In reality, Griffin probably won’t pull any trade involving those three. Maybe he can get a deal for Dion Waiters, Tristian Thompson, or maybe even Anderson Varejo.
After that though, the Cavs roster has a huge drop off with guys like Shawn Marion, Mike Miller, Joe Harris, Brendon Haywood, and Matt Delledova who, lets face it, many teams probably won’t give up assets for.
It would be tough however if the Cavs even considered giving up Lebron because they would most likely be in the market for a new head coach as well.
