
Team World defeated Team Africa 96-92 in the NBA Africa Game 2018 on Saturday, with both teams entertaining thousands of fans while helping communities of South Africa thrive and grow together during the event.
Clippers forward Danilo Gallinari was named Most Valuable Player of the game, finishing with 23 points, seven rebounds and three assists on 9-of-10 shooting. He also scored two clutch baskets in the closing minutes to help seal the win.

Team World was represented by John Collins, JaVale McGee, Garrett Temple, Marvin Williams, Harrison Barnes, Danilo Gallinari, Rudy Gay, Khris Middleton and Hassan Whiteside. Middleton and Gay were named co-captains of the team.
Luol Deng, Ian Mahinmi, Al-Farouq Aminu, Bismack Biyombo, Cheick Diallo, Joel Embiid, Evan Fournier, Serge Ibaka, Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot and Pascal Siakam represented Team Africa, with Deng and Biyombo being the co-captains. Embiid led the way for his team with 24 points.

Former WNBA players Swin Cash and Clarisse Machanguana made surprise appearances in the game, with NBA legends Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Dikembe Mutombo also being in attendance.
The NBA Africa Game 2018 was the third exhibition game of its kind, featuring players doing community work, meeting fans and putting on a show for the people of Africa.
