Who said New York City fell off? Remember that? Well if you still feel that way, WordSmiff along with DJ Dave Dolla have other plans for the naysayers. If you haven’t been keeping up you wouldn’t know until now that WordSmiff, Brooklyn’s own, is now on his third installment of the BarXzam.
WordSmiff ended his 2015 off with a ‘Live From The City II‘ which saw features from ReQ Cartier & Qu’ality and kept true to what a remix is supposed to sound like.
This time around Smiff decides to give the listeners 6 minutes of straight bars as DJ Dave Dolla issues a barrage of beats and he locks in on each one. Adding a theme to this BarXzam has led to it being dubbed ‘Driving Through The Decades’, so if you have a keen ear for productions you should be able to catch every beat that WordSmiff goes through which is a little something for all of us to enjoy. Starting things off subtle had to be the plan as it warms up the listeners then as the beats transition you can hear the brash delivery in Smiff’s approach throughout the rest of his lyrical exercise.
Obviously 6 mins wasn’t enough for him, maybe he should just drop BarXzam 3.5 since he decided to keep going even as the beat stopped but let me not hold you guys, check out BarXzam 3 below..
