Derrius Guice, former running back for the Washington Football Team, has been accused of raping two women while in college at LSU. The alleged attack took place in 2016, when Guce was a freshman.
The story was first reported by USA Today’s Nancy Armour and Kenny Jacoby.
In the story, the authors also detail how LSU, specifically head coach Ed Orgeron, did little, if anything, to take the matters seriously, much less conduct a proper investigation.

Guice was released by Washington on Aug. 8, a day after the running back was arrested
The 23-year-old Guice has only played in five games since being drafted by the team in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft. He’s finished the season on the injured reserve list twice, the first forcing him to miss his entire rookie season with a knee injury.
Armour and Jacoby’s report comes on the heels of some major allegations against some upper-management personnel in regard to the treatment of the team’s cheer squad on a team retreat.
In the five games he played in, Guice had 42 carries for 245 yards and two touchdowns. He also had a receiving score on seven receptions that went for 79 yards.
At this point, the question isn’t so much as what the league response will be, Guice will definitely face a suspension, but rather, is Guice’s NFL career over? It’s certainly within the realm of possibility following recent events.
Should that be the case, it would be fair to think that the pro career of Derrius Guice ended before it ever got going. While the injuries certainly weren’t his fault, the nail in Guice’s pro career coffin appears to have been self-induced.
