A UK woman accusing Drake of sexual assault receives a $350,000 settlement after the rapper is cleared of any misconduct.
Following an alleged sexual encounter, Layla Lace, legal name Laquana Morris claims Drake became inappropriate leading her to file charges. The Blast reports according to court documents, Morris detailed the events which took place resulting in legal proceedings.
“I, Laquana Morris signed a retainer agreement with Alexander Cabereiras on January 23, 2018. I explained to him that I was sexually assaulted by the rapper Drake,” says Morris in her complaint.
While she filed charges against Drake, no criminal case was made. Lack of sufficient evidence supporting Morris’ claims leads to dropped charges. The Blast sources say Drake was cleared by an investigation simply because the story was false.
Currently, Drake celebrating the Toronto Raptors winning the 2019 NBA Championship seems to be unbothered by any rumors or accusations. Sharing photos captioned “Album Mode” on Instagram, fans are sure to get new music from The 6 God in due time.
