With the NBA draft nearly a week away the Washington Wizards are hosting workouts Thursday for 6 players.
The Wizards are looking at five forwards Justin Anderson, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, and Jordan Mickey among the most intriguing for Wizard fans.
The Wizards have a young nucleus with John Wall, Bradley Beal, and the emergence of Otto Porter which they would like to add to with picks 19 and 49.
Washington will have to get creative obviously with the two picks, but that’s where your scouts come in and workouts like this are very important.
Unfortunately for the Wizards the 5 forwards is a sign that Paul Pierce’s time in Washington could be over.
If Pierce is done in Washington it tells me that the Wizards liked the improvement of Otto Porter which will also help them make moves for free agents or sign players of their own like Kevin Seraphin, Drew Gooden, and Will Bynum.
The Wizards hosted a workout with projected pick Bobby Portis, and left very impressed with the workout.
The workouts will be held Thursday at the practice courts at the Verizon Center.
