The Washington Wizards are off to a 1-4 start and already the team is having chemistry issues. Follwing a 116-112 loss to the Sacramento Kings, a game in which the playoff-expecting Wizards should win, stars John Wall and Bradley Beal had some things to say. Beal mentions that the Wizards have “agendas” on the floor. Meaning, each player has their own prerogative that is beyond winning as a team. Whether it is getting more or less shots than someone else, or more minutes of the bench, there are goals beyond winning. To make matters worse, Wall did not dispel the notion that this is true.
After Beal talked, John Wall called reporters over. I asked how players could be in their own agendas, as Beal mentioned, after Game 5…. GAME 5!!!

Wall echoed the sentiment of agendas, a troubling early characteristic of team that was already expected to have chemistry problems. The Wizards were not satisfied last season with landing the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference last season and made some moves to improve this season by trading Marcin Gortat and signing Dwight Howard. It is very early, but so far, the Wizards have so things to work through.
