Toure’ Miller is going to remain a Wizard, at least for another ten days. Miller has now signed his second ten-day contract with the Wizards after they are still unsure on the status of free agent guard Will Bynum.
They will continue to monitor the progress of Will Bynum, who is currently playing for the Guangdong Southern Tigers of the Chinese Basketball Association. Bynum appears to be the top target for the Wizards, but he is not ready to return from injury and make a comeback to the NBA.
When Bynum is ready to return, the Wizards will explore the option of signing him, unless he is still not ready when the Murry ten-day deal ends. If the ten-day deal with Murry ends and Bynum is not ready for an NBA comeback, the Wizards would have to sign Murry for the rest of the season if they wanted to sign him to another contract.
In 3 games played with the Wizards this season, Murry has averaged 1.3 points and .3 steals in 1.7 minutes per game. Bynum would for sure be a more serviceable option for the Wizards, and would probably see more time than what Murry has been seeing so far this season.
If Murry is signed to a contract for the rest of the season once his second ten-day contract runs out, he will have to be more productive in both minutes played and offensively. For now, as long as he can make the most of his opportunities the Wizards will be content.
