Will Bynum signed a 10-day contract with the Wizards on March 27th, and is now going to be signed by the team for the rest of the season. Bynum has appeared in three games for the Wizards and has been available for five games. Bynum is yet to record any points or rebounds, and has recorded just 1 assist in his first three games as a Wizard.
Throughout his career with the Warriors, Pistons, and Wizards, Bynum has compiled averages of 8.1 points, 3.3 assists, and 1.6 rebounds in 18.4 minutes per game. His best season was during the 2009-2010 season where he has career highs in points (10), assists (4.5), rebounds (2.3), and steals (.8).
Once Bynum gets in the swing of things in Washington, he could be very useful for a team looking to make a push in the playoffs. Now that he has been signed for the season, Bynum knows he has a home, and he is not playing for another contract. A bit more production would be nice, but having another floor general in case of emergency is a great backup plan for Washington.
