I see what you’re doing Bradley Beal, I can clock your strategy from jump street. And props to you, it’s the logical thing to do. I mean why extend now? So you don’t have the hassle of being a restricted free agent?
The Washington Wizards will have a very interesting offseason next year. With the Kevin Durant sweepstakes still in the background, you need to somehow coax Beal to take less than max, that’s what needs to be done for them to even be in the running for KD. Beal is not making it easy for the Wiz, as David Aldridge reports that the two parties have decided to not agree on an extension and will revisit the extension in July.
Wizards, per sources, won’t extend @RealDealBeal23 before deadline. Still hope to sign impact FA in July, then re-sign Beal, who’ll be RFA.

Beal, can i call you Bradley? I know you’re young, I know you need to get money and I have no qualms with that. Get your money, but do you want to be the sole reason for the Washington Wizards not being able to go get KD? Do you not want rings? Do you not want to be a part of history? Because you’re making it so hard for everyone in the DC area. Just be a teammate just this once and if you and the Wiz manage to persuade Durant, it’s a wrap. You got a season to think about it.
