Rumor has it, Paul Pierce will either be spending next season in Los Angeles or Washington, and some now are even saying Boston could be a possibility. Even with all of the different rumors flying around, the Wizards remain confident that Pierce will be wearing the red, white, and blue jerseys next season.

“CSNwashington.com has spoken with several people with knowledge of the situation in the past week, and the Wizards actually expect Pierce, who could still opt out for a bigger payday, to remain here.”
Pierce may still choose to opt-out of his current deal in hopes of earning one last big payday before he calls it a career. Just because he chooses to do so does not mean he is leaving DC, so don’t be worried about The Truth changing colors just because of a financial move.
Even with the possibility of a return, the Wizards seemed to prepare themself by selecting Kelly Oubre with the 15th pick in the 2015 NBA Draft. Otto Porter right now would be the starting small forward if Pierce were to bolt, Oubre could step right in as a backup. Washington is prepared, but is still expecting a return.
