
Coming off one of the most emotional games in recent NBA memory and the most emotional game in John Wall’s young career, the Washington Wizards took on Southeastern Division rivals, Orlando Magic. Thanks to some last-second ‘magic’ by Bradley Beal, the Wizards win 91-89.
Wall led the Wizards with 21 points and 11 assists, while Nene added 12 points and 6 rebounds off the bench. Kris Humphries scored 11 and Marcin Gortat had 10 with 5 rebounds. Bradley Beal struggled on the night only scoring 9 points, but he would definitely make up for it down the stretch.
Victor Oladipo had 17 points with 6 rebounds to lead the Magic. Tobias Harris added 15 with 6 rebounds and Elfrid Payton had 12 with 6 rebounds and 4 assists for Orlando. Kyle O’Quinn had 10 points with 6 rebounds and Channing Frye had 10 points.
Wizards forward Rasual Butler’s free throw with 16 seconds left tied the score at 89. Then Oladipo missed a 20-foot jumper and Washington rebounded with 0.8 seconds on the clock.
Andre Miller came off the bench and threw a beautiful lob pass at the rim. Beal out-jumped Oladipo and laid it in as the buzzer sounded.
Washington, who scored the final 7 points in the game, beat the Magic. for the seventh straight time.
Washington Wizards are 15-6. Orlando Magic are 9-15.
