After completing a trade for Jared Dudley, it would not make much sense to the Wizards to sign Chris Copeland, but Washington could still be an option for the small forward.

Copeland missed part of last season after being stabbed and having to spend significant time in the hospital. He could be a great addition off the bench in Washington, and would be a good option if there is not a lot of competition. They cannot overpay for Copeland because he is just not needed.
Even though they missed out on resigning Paul Pierce, the small forward position in Washington is very crowded with Otto Porter, Jared Dudley, and Kelly Oubre. At 6’8, he would even be able to play some power forward when the Wizards look to go small. It would be tough to see them add another small forward, but the one benefit of Copeland is how well he would be able to stretch the floor.
