A new TV series based on ‘The Wizard of Oz’ is currently in production by NBC.
‘Emerald City’ has been ordered for ten episodes and will be produced by Matt Arnold and Josh Friedman.
The show is being described by NBC as a “dramatic and modern re-imagining of the tales that include lethal warriors, competing kingdoms, and the infamous wizard as we’ve never seen him before”.
New characters will also be introduced in the series.
