Uh oh. Looks like the battle for local supremacy in Sacramento might sort itself out. A couple of days I talked about the battle for Kings power forward with Rudy Gay, Kosta Koufos and Willie Cauley-Stein in the running. Now I said that if I was Karl I would have Cauley-Stein at the four and Gay at the 3 with Koufos on the bench.
But as it turns out, Cauley-Stein isn’t getting anything at this rate, because he’s violating rule 101 of being a professional athlete. Always be in shape.
When you show up to camp and you can’t run up and down the court twice without being so winded you have to pull yourself off the court, then something’s wrong.
Willie Cauley-Stein, “Straight Outta Shape”. Yea that’s right! I’m keeping it alive!
I thought it was impossible to get out of shape in today’s NBA? I mean you constantly train, you’re always with the team, how do you get out of shape? Maybe he was doing a Shaq and totally chilling during the summer.
Even if that’s the case, you can’t be out of shape. Nobody wins when a player is out of shape. And how can a guy who looks relatively thin get out of shape? What’s he been eating?!
