Will Smith is reportedly in talks to star in the upcoming ‘Independence Day’ sequel.
Director Roland Emmerich confirmed the meeting to Digital Spy.
“I sometimes say no, Will Smith will not be in it because he didn’t want to do it at first,” said Emmerich. “Now we have a meeting planned, we want to talk about it again. Anything can happen.”
As reported earlier, Jeff Goldblum and Bill Pullman have already confirmed their return which is slated for a 2015 release date. The original film grossed over $800 million in 1996.
