Media moguls Will Smith and Kevin Hart have signed on to star in a Planes, Trains and Automobiles reboot.
Directed by John Hughes, the original 1987 film starred in Steve Martin and the late John Candy. Throughout the original film, Martin and Candy endure a variety of travel mishaps as they try to get home for Thanksgiving.
This news comes on the heels of Will Smith’s triumphant return to the big screen with Bad Boys 3. More recently, Smith signed on to take the lead on Emancipation. In addition, Smith is pitching a Fresh Prince of Bel-Air reboot and film about Richard Williams.
Meanwhile, Kevin Hart starred in Jumanji: The Next Level. He also earned a Primetime Emmy Nomination for Kevin Hart: Don’t F*ck This Up!
Moving forward, the film will enter its early stages of productions with Ayesha Carr writing the script and Hart and Smith producing the film.
