It has been rumoured for weeks that The Voice judge, Christina Aguilera would be performing alongside a hologram of legendary songstress, Whitney Houston on the show’s finale. Well it appears the rumours are in fact true when video of the performance briefly popped up on the Internet.
What was supposed to be a surprise for Monday’s season finale of the “The Voice” has been blown amidst the buzz surrounding the performance. It’s unknown who got the footage or how the footage got uploaded onto a Facebook page but it’s already been taken down.
In the now deleted video, Aguilera starts off with Houston’s 1992 hit “I Have Nothing”, on her own before signaling behind her to present Whitney Houston. The curtain falls, and a hologram of Houston appears and proceeds to perform the rest of the song before the pair mesh into a duet of “I’m Every Woman.”
Pat Houston, the sister-in-law of the diva, said that Hologram USA’s idea of a hologram is a great way to continue the singer’s legacy.
“It is a great opportunity for her fans to see a reinvention of one of the most celebrated female artists in history,” Pat said. “To continue a legacy of performances that will not be forgotten in years to come,” said Houston.
It hasn’t been confirmed if the footage is legit, but the only way to find out is to check out The Voice finale on Monday.
