The trailer for the sixth season of Community has been released on Yahoo!
The teaser trailer opens as a spoof of a space shuttle launching which then leads into a look back at the history of Greendale Community College over the past five seasons.
A flat line then jumps across the screen, mocking the show’s cancellation by NBC earlier this year.
An announcer then announces the show’s move to Yahoo, declaring:
We have the ability to make the world’s first bionic show. Community will be that show.
Better than it was before.
Better. Stronger. Faster.
The teaser ends on the quip: “Ratings? Where we’re going, we don’t need ratings!”
Joel McHale recently told Digital Spy that he is excited by the possibility that Community will ultimately fulfill its “six seasons and a movie” montage.
“My only stipulation with the movie would be that it has to be epic.
“It can’t be like [another] episode, it has to be big. If we’re gonna have a movie, it’s gotta knock your socks off.”
Community is expected to premiere season six on Yahoo after the holiday season
