A Most Violent Year is set in New York of 1981, which is also clasidied as the most violent year in the city’s history.
The story centers around an immigrant man [Issac] as he struggles to expand his business and protect his wife [Chastain] and family during the trying time.
A Most Violent Year hits theaters on December 31.
