
The Golden State Warriors will waive Anderson Varejao in order to clear the space needed to sign point guard Briante Weber to a 10-day contract, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical:

Varejao, who was signed by the Warriors after being waived by the Cleveland Cavaliers last season, averaged 2.6 points and 1.7 rebounds in 8.5 minutes per game for the Warriors during the 2015-16 season. This year, he’s had his playing time reduced even further, playing just 6.6 minutes per game.

Briante Weber, who played at VCU before going undrafted in 2015, played for the Miami Heat and Memphis Grizzlies last season
Sam Amico reports that the Nuggets have interest in Anderson Varejao now that he has been waived

The Nuggets’ interest probably has to do with salary purposes; it is unlikely that Varejao, if claimed, would ever play a game for the Nuggets.
