Warriors were a completely different team in the second half of their game 6 win in the Western Conference Finals. The Oklahoma City Thunder looked to close out the series at home and send the defending NBA Champions back to the Bay Area. Little did the Thunder know, the Golden State Warriors had different plans to bring OKC back to the Bay with them for a game 7 after their 108-101 win in Oklahoma City.
Klay Thompson exploded for 41 points on the night while setting the NBA record for three-pointers in an NBA playoffs game. He made 11 three-pointers in total and paced the Warriors attack for a majority of the fourth quarter. While Stephen Curry finished the night with 31 points of his own, he definetely turned the reigns over the Thompson for the final frame of the game.

After a disappointing game 5 finish, the Thunder looked to capitalize on their homecourt advantage and take their second trip to the NBA Finals in the past five seasons. The Warriors fantastic ‘Splash Brothers’ tandem spoiled those plans after being faced with a 5 point halftime deficit, the Dubs exchanged blows with the Thunder and it all started with Klay Thompson starting the third quarter with a back to back made three-pointers to put the Warriors back in the lead.
Despite his slow start, Curry bounced back to finish with 31 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists. Thompson scored 19 points in the fourth quarter to help the Warriors overcome an eight-point deficit entering the final period. Draymond Green also scored 12 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and handed out six assists.
Kevin Durant scored 29 points and Russell Westbrook added 28 for the Thunder. But Durant made just 10 of 31 shots and Westbrook was 10-of-27 and the dynamic duo for OKC missed more shots than the rest of their teammates attempted. Down the stretch, the Thunder went completely frozen, turning the ball over 4 times and not scoring a single point to end the game. In the fourth quarter alone, Russell Westbrook scored eight points on 2-7 shooting and had four turnovers while Durant scored four points on 1-7 shooting and had two turnovers of his own. Serge Ibaka finished with 13 points and 11 rebounds but scored 12 of his 13 in the first half.
Game 7 will be played on Monday night on TNT starting at 9 pm ET.
