Warriors Thrash Sixers 126-86
The Golden State Warriors made expectedly easy work of the Philadelphia 76ers with a 126-86 win at home on Tuesday. Marresse Speights had a team-high 23 points off the bench for the Warriors including a season-high 4 assists. Stephen Curry added 13 points and 9 assists as seven Warriors players scored in double figures. Henry Sims led the Sixers with 19 points and 7 rebounds.
After falling behind 6-0 to start the game, the Warriors made a 32-11 run to end the first quarter. Golden State had 20 assists on 25 made field goals in the first half where they held a 61-34 advantage. The Warriors finished with 38 assists on the game.
The Sixers, who lead the league in steals and turnovers, were only able to score over 20 points in the third and fourth quarters. They shot 38 percent from the field, finished +6 on the boards, had 11 steals and 27 turnovers.
Other Warriors players in double figures were Klay Thompson (14), David Lee (13), Draymond Green (10), Leandro Barbosa (17) and Justin Holiday (11).
The Warriors move to 25-5 and the Sixers fall to 4-26 on the season.
