There wasn’t good news for the Warriors Stephen Curry during last night’s game against the Portland Trailblazers, the guard left the game during the second term after injuring his surgically repaired ankle that he is had been rehabbing all summer. Curry missed 40-games because of his ankle last season.
He left the game and did not return last night but the Warriors still downplayed the incident – his ankle was hit by another player during a loose ball battle – and Warriors coach Mark Jackson insisted that his point guard would have returned had it been a playoff encounter.
“He’s fine,” coach Mark Jackson said after the Warriors’ 101-97 victory. “He wanted to go back in the game. If it was a Game 7, he’d be available.”
The last thing the Warriors need is Curry out for a substantial period of time, especially in the wake of the news that summer acquisition, Andrew Bogut, is still a way off from being ready to see some action from his ankle injury.
