Warriors Run Away From Pelicans 112-85; Tie Longest Win Streak In Franchise History
The Golden State Warriors extended their win-streak to 11 with a 112-85 win against the New Orleans Pelicans at home on Thursday night. Klay Thompson had a team-high 23 points on 8-for-16 shooting from the field including 5-for-8 from the three-point line for the Warriors. Stephen Curry added 19 points and 11 assists. Anthony Davis had a team-high 30 points and 15 rebounds for the Pelicans.
The Warriors are now tied with their franchise record for consecutive wins.
New Orleans came out effective and aggressive in the first quarter led by Davis’ 11 points, but the Warriors made their push in the second quarter with a 31-12 advantage before going into the half. The lead for Golden State was double digits from that point on. Jrue Holiday and Tyreke Evans didn’t produce much to help Davis, who outscored their 23 points combined on his own. Holiday and Evans were a combined 9-for-30 from the field. Ryan Anderson only had 4 points on 2-for-9 shooting for the Pelicans.
