
The Golden State Warriors were one win away from clinching the best record in the Western Conference. The Warriors got that win Saturday night in a road victory over the Milwaukee Bucks; winning 108-95. The win also set the franchise record for most wins in a single season, and marks the first time in franchise history that the Warriors have won 60 games in a season.
The Warriors won the game tonight in convincing fashion, and they played very well. Stephen Curry scored 24 points in the game, and Klay Thompson added 21 points. 17 of Thompson’s points came in the 3rd quarter as they pulled away from the Bucks.
Golden State now holds a ten game lead over the Grizzlies with nine games remaining in the season. The Warriors also won ten straight game tonight by playing great defense and putting in another solid game from behind the arc. The Warriors shot 12 of 25 from behind the arc tonight, and Stephen Curry shot 6-9 from behind the arc. The Warriors also made their 775th three of the season tonight on a Justin Holiday three in the first quarter, which broke their record of 774 three’s made set last season.
The shooting of the ‘Dubs’ has been great all season, and they look to continue the great three-point shooting heading into the playoffs. The Warriors are going to have home court advantage in every round of the Western Conference Playoffs this year, and look to use that to get into the NBA Finals. The Warriors home crowd will be buzzing with excitement, as always, as they will look to cheer their team onto the NBA Championship.
