If there’s an award for most improved artist of the year, it should undoubtedly go to Wale. Despite having given fans a steady flow of music for the past decade, Wale has found ways to improve his craft and expand on his art in 2018. This year, the Washington, D.C. native has switched labels, dropped three projects and managed to stay relevant in a constantly evolving realm of rappers. Not to mention, he’s dropped a slew of new videos and collaborated with everyone from Jacquees to J. Cole. As the year comes to a close, Wale does not appear to be on many end of the year lists, but it appears that he’s gained a lot of momentum heading into the new year.
In an effort to put his stamp on the year, Wale has dropped to new tracks. Wale announced the move earlier today on Twitter. Without any rhyme or reason to his methods, Wale let fans know that he just felt like rapping. Frankly, we’re glad that’s how he’s feeling these days. As a result, fans can enjoy “Winter Wars” and “Pole Dancer” featuring Megan The Stallion. In 2019, fans can only expect more of the same from the Washington, D.C. native as he celebrates the tenth anniversary of his debut album, Attention Deficit.
