Wale has held the Redskins (they need to change their name, ASAP) near and dear to his chest. Being a longtime fans has finally paid off. The MMG rapper was blessed with the honor off announcing the Skins 4th round pick in this year’s NFL draft.
“Having grown up in D.C., I’ve been rockin’ with the Redskins since I was a kid. Since I’m constantly on the road, I have a chain with a large gold Redskins logo pendant, so it’s always close to me wherever I am,” Wale said in a press release.
“I’m truly honored & excited to be a part of Draft Day. Huge thank you to Daniel Snyder & the entire Redskins organization.”
What’s pretty dope is that Wale will announce the pick live during a concert at FedEx Field on May 2nd.
