As quiet as it’s kept, Wale and Chris Brown have produced quality music time after time during their decade-long careers. Back in 2010, the two first connected on the “Pretty Girls” remix with Gucci Mane. From there, the duo worked together on Chris Brown’s Before The Party mixtape, DJ Khaled’s Suffering From Success and “It’s You Sh*t” from the Fan Of A Fan album. Most recently, the two produced the stand-out track, “Heaven On Earth,” from Wale’s Shine album. Thankfully, the two have made time to come together to release new music yet again.
Getting the summer started off right, Wale and Chris Brown have connected on “Angels.” Produced by Hitmaka, the track features a heavy sample from Diddy’s “I Need A Girl Part I.” Keeping with the same theme of the original record, Wale and Chris Brown go back and forth about finding the right girl and making it work.
“Okay, this energy’s givin’ me sex symbol/Pose for me, girl, I think I’m the best with you/Pose for me more, I think you’re the best for me/Now post when I’m done, ain’t credit your ex n*gga/Hey, you petty, you flex different,” the two rap.
“You know I be the plug, the one that connect with you/Now go up in these stores and tell ’em who mess with you/You know I’d take you home, but now you address different.”
