Wale is an avid sneakerhead and that has been no secret for several years now. Striving off the success of his latest album, ‘The Album About Nothing‘ Folarin continues to keep his name relevant not only in music but on the fashion side of things.
Recently he announced his partnership with the good people at VILLA and the two came together for Wale’s first collaboration ‘The Bottle Rocket‘. If you missed out on that release, tough luck. Well it looks like ‘The Matrimony’ artist is preparing to venture into not only footwear but clothing as well. Being from DC he is planning on releasing ski suits which as he states is inspired by DC fashion which I would assume a big trend back in the day.
Upon announcing his ski suits along with who will be helping him design them he has also broke the news that he there is a second sneaker collaboration in the works. Considering the success behind his ASICS that VILLA and himself worked on it appears several companies want to the get the MMG artist to collaborate.
Could this mark the beginning of a post music career venture for Wale as he looks to continue to expand his resume. Could we finally see Wale work on something Nike related as we all know he is a big fan of the swoosh. We have to wait and see but in the meantime this is great news to hear as he deserves it.
