Wake Forest freshman Tariq Ingraham tore his left Achilles last Thursday the school announced today. He underwent surgery last Friday ending his freshman season before playing any games. He will most likely medically redshirt. The freshman was unlikely to start or play any kind of major minutes this season. Ingraham was one of only four freshmen on this season’s Wake Forest team.
Ingraham has transformed his body in his short time on campus in the fall and summer. He has lost more than 20 pounds since stepping on campus and was practicing around 260 pounds.
Wake Forest freshman forward Tariq Ingraham will miss the season due to a torn left Achilles tendon in practice on Thursday, school announces.

Ingraham should be back next season with this injury occurring so early in this season. His recovery will most likely start finishing up right around next year’s preseason practices as lots of Achilles injuries take 12 months to recover from. The good news for Wake Forest is they weren’t planning on relying heavily on Tariq Ingraham. He was going to be a fringe rotation player barring a major surprise.
