This scenario is too familiar. In their previous match-up, Gregg Popovich decided to rest 4 of his 5 starters against the defending NBA champions. There was a big uproar with Pop’s decision but he stated, “I’ve done this before”, and didn’t seen an issue with it. Stern, on the other hand, didn’t see it as that. The NBA commissioner threatened that actions would soon follow.
Looks like the shoe is on the other foot tonight, as it’s being reported that the Miami Heat will rest it’s two stars, LeBron James and Dwayne Wade, in tonight’s match-up against the Spurs. Will Stern take action, or will this just fly by?
