Without Chris Bosh who sat out due to an injury, Dwyane Wade looked like an older version of himself Tuesday night as his 28 points helped lead the Miami Heat over the Brooklyn Nets in a 95-91 win.
Wade went 12 of 24 from the field with four assists and five rebounds to get the Heat to a 12-13 record on the season. Wade was also helped out bu his team, as five Miami players scored in double figures.
Miami would lead by as many as 13 in the fourth quarter until Bojan Bogdanovic’s three-pointer made the score 93-91 with 35.1 seconds left. On the following possession, Bogdanovic was called for a loose ball foul on Luol Deng, who made two free throws.
The Nets had a chance to get back within two, but Jarrett Jack missed a wide open lay-up.
The Nets were led by Mason Plumee, who got the start in place of the injured Brook Lopez, who had 21 points and nine rebounds.
The game was delayed for 31 minutes in the first quarter due to a leak coming from the roof of the Barclays Center. Both teams were sent to their locker rooms until a tarp was placed on the damaged area.
