The 2015 NBA Draft is beginning to take shape. As days go by we gain more and more declarations. Today’s key declaration was from Virginia Cavaliers’ Justin Anderson who is going for the Draft despite injury troubles. Yahoo! Sports released the news earlier today.
Anderson is in the process of setting up agent meetings for later this week in Virginia, sources said. As long as he doesn’t formalize an agreement, he could still change course and return for his senior year of college basketball before the underclassman deadline of April 26.
Draftexpress.com has Anderson ranked No. 32 overall in its most recent 2015 mock draft, and league executives believe Anderson, who suffered through an injury-plagued season, could become a first-round pick with a quality pre-draft workout process.
Anderson averaged 12.2 points and four rebounds for Virginia, missing eight games because of a fractured pinkie and an appendectomy.
Now if I missed games because of injury. I would like to take one more season just to prove that I’m not injury prone. But then again it was a fractured pinky which isn’t the most life threatening injury ever. Being in Virginia is a great thing because of the defensive mindset. That’ll help him for when he does workouts in the combine and hopefully Summer League.
