Viola Davis is officially locked in for Suicide Squad.
Davis will play Amanda Waller in the film about a group of imprisoned villains employed by the US government to undertake high risk missions in return for having their sentences reduced/diminished.
Waller is the government operative who leads the team.
The film will also star Will Smith as Deadshot, Jared Leto as the Joker, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn and Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang.
Suicide Squad hits theaters on August 5, 2016.
