Vince Staples, a mega troll every once and again, took the time out his day to tune into ESPN’s Highly Questionable for an interview. Many times when a rapper is on ESPN, they are either talking about the obvious, sports or about their album. In Vince’s case, neither were talked about in this interview.
Vince spoke with the host of the show about his upbringing in Long Beach. Vince briefly touches on going to school with Cam Newton and how Snoop Dogg’s music helped influence him, but more importantly the trio talked about the gang culture of the world. When talking about the gangs and why he was apart of it, Vince had this to say “My mom did an interview with L.A times, she explained it too them this way, ‘there’s a store on the corner, some people walk in, some people don’t, & some don’t even think of it'”.
Watch the full interview above and stick around for more from Staples.
