It’s not everyday you see retailer team up with companies for collaborations, well, actually nowadays you do, its becoming more of a frequent occurrence (not saying it’s a bad thing) but I give VILLA props for this one.
This collaboration is rather different.
The last we saw of the company in the collaboration side of things was with their Final Draft Adidas Top Ten to celebrate their 25th anniversary. which I might add I have a pair of and think are rather dope.
This time we see VILLA x Starter teaming up for something I consider to be epic especially if you are familiar with Starter and their jackets, it doesn’t get more dope or exciting than that.

Philadelphia, PA (October 6, 2014) – VILLA, the nation’s premier lifestyle retailer, has partnered with iconic sports apparel brand Starter to launch a limited edition jacket collection. Starter, licensed by two-time Super Bowl Champion Carl Banks currently President of G-III Sports, is helping to create and release the VILLA x Starter Series. The capsule will feature four exclusive designs inspired by iconic teams, moments and players throughout sports history.

Over the years, the classic satin jacket evolved to become a wardrobe staple for sports fans, players, entertainers and trendsetters alike to express their team pride and street style. The limited edition VILLA x Starter Series will unite fans to represent their team spirit.
“The Starter jacket was a beacon of 80’s and 90’s fashion. We are excited to partner with VILLA to release this limited edition collection to celebrate some of the greatest moments in sports,” says Carl Banks. “Kicking off with the Legacy capsule, we will pay homage on a whole new creative level – team fashion as defined by none other than Starter.”
The first release in the VILLA x Starter Series, Legacy, is set to launch mid-October with the final three packs unveiling late 2014 and early 2015. Each jacket in the series is limited to 144 pieces and will retail for $100.
