Time and time again, the pick-and-roll for the Wizards between John Wall and Marcin Gortat has worked to perfection when Randy Wittman calls the play. The pick-and-roll gives both Gortat and Wall so many opportunities to makes plays and score wide open layups and jumpshots. This has really become the go to offense for the Wizards if they ever need a quick score or to end a scoring drought.
This pick-and-roll seemed to work better than it had all season on this specific occasion as the scene almost appeared to come out of a basketball movie. The pass seemed to be so fancy, so smooth, but yet so crisp at the same exact time. The Wizards should be able to get easy baskets like this one at ease for the rest of the night as they play the shorthanded Hawks.
John Wall picked up right where he left off before he took a two game break to rest up his ankle and the rest of his body as the Wizards get ready for a playoff push. The pick-and-roll is so hard to stop, especially when your point guard can pass as well as John Wall can. This offense could potentially take the Wizards far into the playoffs if Wittman continues to call the play that obviously works every time.
