With Otto Porter emerging as a player that in worth of being a starter in the league, it is obvious that once Paul Pierce hangs up his jersey, the Wizards will have a big three of their own. Wall, Beal, and Porter have all started in the three game winning streak the Wizards are currently riding, and have made several connections to one another.
Here, Porter got the steal, dished it off to Wall, who got the assist to Beal. Too bad it’s not the MLS or 2K where Porter would be seeing some love on the stat sheet for his pass to an assist. Anyways, he made the play happen and got the Wizards an easy bucket that helped them to keep pushing the lead on the Grizzlies.
The combination of Washington’s big three could be lethal for years to come once Porter is ready to step into the role of being a full-time starter. Until then, plays like this one helping the team win are going to have to be enough to please the fans in DC.
