Timofey Mozgov came into the 2015 NBA Finals as one of the more pivotal pieces that the Cleveland Cavaliers would need to rely on against the Golden State Warriors. Luckily for the Cavs in game 1, Mozgov came to play although the Cavs lost the first game of the finals.
The ‘Mozgawd’ threw down some huge dunks off alley-oops and dribble-drives and was able to score 16 points for the Cavs. Mozgov played 33 minutes on the night and he also grabbed 7 rebounds for Cleveland.
It looked like Timofey was making a case for the 2016 NBA Dunk Contest with some of these huge slams he put down in Game 1. He even tried to put Bogut on a huge posterizing slam late in overtime, but he missed and got fouled on the play.
Mozgov is going to need more of these plays if the Cavs want to drastically affect this series in their favor.
