Tim Duncan continues to add to his already historic career by adding this newest achievement to his list. Tim Duncan joins an exclusive list of players that have made over 10,000 field goals for their career in the history of the NBA. Duncan joins active players like Kevin Garnett and Kobe Bryant as the only 2 players on a current NBA roster to get 10,000 field goals made. Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki is next up as he is currently sitting at 9,815.
He’s come a long way from his first career game without making a field goal.
Duncan led his Spurs to a win over the Milwaukee Bucks that was much needed after their losing performance the night before against the New York Knicks. Coach Gregg Popovich wasn’t too excited about the Spurs effort either.
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Karl Malone and Wilt Chamberlain top the list and Duncan will definetely look to crack the top 10 possibly before the end of next season. Of course, assuming that Duncan doesn’t decide to hang it up at the end of this season and also depending on how far the Spurs go in the playoffs.
