While Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant still misses time due to his strained hamstring, it allows his All-Star teammate Russell Westbrook to take over the Thunder.
For the third time this season and in his second consecutive game, Russell Westbrook put up 40+ points. Westbrook scored 40 against the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday and against the New Orleans Pelicans, Westbrook did much of the same.
Russell put up 43 points on 14-25 shooting including 15-20 from the free throw line. Westbrook also handed out eight assists, and grabbed nine rebounds on the night.
Without Durant, Westbrook steps up and when KD comes back, expect the duo to continue to perform at a high level.
