He’s been called so many things; The Brazilian Kevin Durant, 2 year away from being 2 years, but Bruno Caboclo is definitely starting to fit in with the Toronto Raptors. He was selected 20th Overall by the Toronto Raptors in this years draft when he was projected to go late 2nd round or not even drafted. Why did they draft him? Potential. He is 6 ft. 9 Inches with a wingspan of 7 ft. 7 inches. Wait… Hold up… 7’7 WINGSPAN? It’s starting to become more clear as to why the raptors picked him.
It’s going to take time for him to develop (hence the 2 years away from being 2 years away name). Bruno Caboclo needs to learn how to use his length and his skill to his advantage in a fast paced NBA game. He did decent in the summer league learning how to move up and down the floor with faster, more stronger players.
But now we’re in the preseason and we need results (Yes the NBA moves fast). He is starting to show flashes of brilliance and ridiculous athletic ability… need proof?
Here you go:
In case you missed it, WATCH IT AGAIN. Bruno Caboclo gets a piece of Pablo Prigioni’s 3 Point Shot attempt. Wow. He reminds me of Giannis Antetokounmpo and it’s really exciting seeing these guys develop. Hopefully, the brazilian Kevin Durant lives up to the name and helps contribute to the Toronto Raptors.
