Team USA has been and will be doing a ton of traveling on their way to the 2016 Olympic games in Rio de Janiero, Brazil. August 5th is the start of the 2016 Rio Olympics but before they begin, the Men’s national team is doing a series of exhibitions to prepare them for the games. They started their training camp in Las Vegas, played games in Los Angeles and Oakland, traveled to Chicago for a game and still need to hit Houston for their final pre-olympics contest.
Needless to say, it’s been a complete decimation for the United States. Four games in and four blowouts have been the recipe for Team USA success. Argentina, China (twice) and Venezuela stood no chance against Team USA. While domination could be fun for some, others might not find it to be too exciting. That’s when some might seek other ways to achieve enjoyment.
After Team USA’s win over Venezuela last night in Chicago, the US team had to hit the sky to travel to Houston for a game against Nigeria. This morning as the US team was on the flight, they began to once again get bored. So sitting on a plane, with not much to do calls for an essential road trip activity. A sing-along. With multiple songs highlighted.
It all started with Jimmy Butler singing the Luke Bryan hit, ‘Crash my Party’ and it quickly expanded from there. Members of the team including Draymond Green, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving joined Butler doing performances of their own. Just about everyone enjoyed the performance, except the elder statesman of Team USA, Carmelo Anthony. They sang ‘A Thousand Miles’ by Vanessa Carlton, ‘Maria, Maria’ by Carlos Santana and Draymond Green eventually took center stage to sing some of his favorites. As you can see, Carmelo Anthony is not happy.
Check out some of the videos below of Team USA’s hilarious sing-along.
